SHAM AND SHAMELESS

The society has and heals its own scars,
then why is it that they are  only ‘hers’?
Why is it then that men don't have any -
whereas they outnumber ‘hers’ by many?
It is an irony as such, the ways of ‘men’ -
savages get their way every now and then.
Tormenting the flesh, bones and the soul -
tragic as to how it has never taken its toll.

Born of women and then put to shame -
from times of old it has remained the same.
You burn candles, lit torches and bonfire -
shameful how it's lost - the ‘essence of ire’.
Placards! Protests! What is it that you need?
No cries of conscience but injustice indeed.
Pillaging of cities and ravaging of innocence -
Who stands up now to mend the broken fence?

The hell on earth was made by those men -
born here of filth and scum, time and again.
This echoes injustice! It's but a political sham -
I know not of others but yes, ashamed I am.
Tear the rotting flesh, let their bones be creaked,
how a motherly soul in night helplessly shrieked.

THE RIPPED BUD

Spring will come and rain will flow -
alas the angelic smile will never glow.
Ones who detest darkness forced into dark -
where faceless savages like vermins lurk.

The barbaric hordes hide behind a mask -
where the deaf have questions to ask.
Ironically the dumb can hear but are meek -
while society fades in gloom and bleak.

Here the beasts are like onion peel -
how deeper one may go but none can feel.
In each strata one finds a new face -
while the past one vanishes without trace.

How deep one may go, all the more -
it is an endless gamble, a heartless core.
New screams, fresh outrage, ripe news -
death of a dream, a life put to no use.

THE CURTAIN FALL

If you want to get the sunshine,
forever do chase the setting sun.
If you want to make something - 'mine';
Life then won't be a struggle - 'just fun'.

If you want to live in eternal green
then forever do let the birds throng.
If you want nature always in its teen
then forever do let the trees stay strong.

If you desire to die just this once
then forever do hold your head high.
if ever hard you believe for second chance
then never let your emotions run dry.

If you want that even after the curtain-fall
the roar and the applause to go on...
Then silently do good for the unknown all -
the name in tearful whispers will dawn.
