UNPUNISHED CRIMES

Festivities come and festivities go
in a country of a billion and more.
We will reap what we did sow,
when karma comes knocking at the door.

Joyous mood and war ravaged places,
we as countrymen will have to face.
Cheerful are few while girls in torn dresses,
were battered in the dark in disgrace.

Neither the bruise fades not the pain,
while people get on with their lives.
We can't see their tears in the shallow rain,
they are in the dark while country thrives.
